With landside works now complete at Port Hedland International Airport is pleased to announce that ADCO Constructions has been appointed to construct the airport terminal redevelopment and that they will commence in early April 2022. It is anticipated that works will take approximately 12 months.

Stage 1 of the redevelopment will encompass the construction of new check-in facilities, arrivals areas, public washrooms and state of the art baggage facilities. There is no impact to existing check-in, security screening and departure areas. Temporary baggage collection and arrival facilities will be in place for all passengers arriving by aircraft.

Stage 2 will see the existing check-in area, back of house offices and security screening points redeveloped to create a spacious new security screening area and new developed departures lounge and washroom facilities.

Stage 3 will complete the project with a newly redeveloped departures lounge which will create space for all passengers waiting for their flights.

The state of the art new terminal, designed by international architects, Woods Bagot will deliver users with a fresh new terminal, designed with the industrial nature of Port Hedland in mind and colours reflecting the landscape of the Pilbara region.
