Stage 2 of the Airport Terminal Renovations are nearly finished! You will notice the expansion of the international lounge area is now complete with the installation of a new secure airlock for arrivals exit.
Painting in the departure toilets is complete and the toilets, basins and benches have been installed. Hardware, mirrors, plumbing fixtures and electrical fit out will commence over the weekend to finish off this area, with the plan to have it back open to the public by the end of next week.
The temporary wall between the café and departures lounge will remain in place until the project is complete. Some new concertina doors will then be installed in the departures lounge, the international customs module relocated to give some more room in that area. The temporary wall will then be removed to open up the whole area within the sterile zone.
